Under the pseudonym “Chris H,” I’ve been creating content to help you make important energy-efficiency decisions about your facilities. I originally used this persona for privacy reasons; however, as I interact with more and more of you through social media, I’ve decided that I can’t truly connect with industry professionals as “Chris H.” Moving forward, I will be abandoning my “Chris H” pseudonym and communicating with you using my real name: Steve DeBusk.
I am the Global Energy Solutions Manager for Eastman Chemical Company, the manufacturer of the Vista brand. I’m writing on behalf of Vista, but I’m using my more than 27 years of experience in the energy-efficiency field to deliver information to facilities professionals. My purpose is to offer data, hints, and tips to help you increase energy efficiency in your commercial buildings.
I’ve worked with ESCOs, energy management companies, consultants, and contractors in the development of energy-efficiency project opportunities. I’m also a Certified Energy Manager, a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional, and a Certified Sustainable Development Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers. I received my BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech. And I use all of this knowledge to share ways to better manage your building’s energy consumption.
